THE SHORT VERSION

The third ground engagement awards progressively greater points for objectives deeper in opposing territory. Holding more neutral markers grants defensive resolve near controlled positions, and victory determines the final battle’s lighting conditions, with complete destruction of the enemy command potentially wounding its remaining leaders before the climax.

Suffer No Rivals

Each commander nominates two experienced units as Priority Targets, making their destruction far more valuable than ordinary objective control at the battle’s end. Markers remain held after troops move away, but protected target units cannot simply disappear into reserve, producing a hunt in which screening important units and cornering the enemy matter greatly.
