The Forge Bowl: League Format

THE SHORT VERSION

The commissioner divides 25 coaches into five groups of five, mixing experience levels and avoiding repeated team types within each division. Two automatic qualifiers from each group and the strongest third-place finishers enter a second round before the eight-team knockout. Awards for painting, newcomers, sporting conduct, casualties and other achievements give coaches meaningful goals even when championship qualification is unlikely.
