MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 489

Gateways and Stairs

June 2023·p. 36

THE SHORT VERSION

The basic wall module becomes a gateway by cutting an arch and fitting an XPVC door, its lion face scored with a pen and its beaten-metal surface indented with rounded tools. A staircase uses stacked XPS blocks topped by successively shorter thin foam layers. Matching brickwork, texture and painting tie these architectural additions to the fortress’s reusable wall sections.
