Laurent Lethuillier uses colour and texture contrast to reinforce Shalaxi’s unsettling ambiguity. Translucent skin opposes deep purple clothing, powdery stockings differ from satin-like fabric, and warm gold offsets cooler surfaces. A green headdress focuses attention on the face, where theatrical makeup and dark surrounding claws sharpen the daemon’s unhealthy appearance.
