Warsmith Czagra attacks an astropathic relay station to seize psykers for sacrifice. Cultists absorb defensive fire before the Bronzewrought advance, and technodaemonic servants tear targeting information and prisoner locations from the station’s systems. His methodical violence mixes calculation, contempt and relentless destruction.

Defenders and battle-psykers make an unsuccessful last stand at the holding cells. A dying loyalist warns that the prisoners are uncontrollable psychic catastrophes rather than servants any captor could safely employ. Czagra welcomes precisely that danger, revealing that the apparent flaw in his prize is the reason he wants it.
