Steffan Jenkins builds saturated red Autarch armour through controlled recess shading, progressively brighter highlights and smoothing glazes. Rather than allowing added white to turn the surface pink, he restores its intensity with a final red glaze. The method preserves separation between the shaded base and brightest edges without losing the main colour.

The studio supplies the red-and-brass recipe behind a Crimson Slaughter model in Codex: Chaos Space Marines. A red spray establishes the armour, with black restricted to recesses so the overall colour remains bright. Orange-red edge highlights and washed brass trim give clear definition while retaining the force’s characteristic warm palette.
