Be’lakor, the Dark Master
February 2023·p. 33
THE SHORT VERSION
Max Soule paints almost all of Be’lakor by drybrushing with slightly damp rounded makeup brushes. Resin over cotton wool forms lava splashes, and highlights from below make the daemon appear illuminated by molten rock. Working through blue, pink, red, yellow and white prioritises the complete effect while keeping a large project moving quickly.
