INTERVIEW·WHITE DWARF 396

Goblin Throne

December 2012·p. 135

THE SHORT VERSION

Michael Perry and Aly Morrison explain how the Goblin King’s throne bridges terrain and playing piece. Its broken-bed framework must fit a plastic frame, assemble easily and accommodate the King during the scene, while digital work replicates textures and adjusts lines around the hand-sculpted details. Even the grotesque bucket beneath it follows the set photographs, demonstrating how thoroughly the film’s visual humour is carried into the kit.
