Citadel Hall of Fame: Coven Throne

December 2012·pp. 82–83

THE SHORT VERSION

Alex Hedström nominates the Coven Throne for the way its complicated construction disappears into a coherent, narrative display. Spectral horsemen frame the Vampires rather than competing with them, helped by the studio paint scheme. Martin Footitt explains the collaboration with Aly Morrison and Brian Nelson’s concept, describing the pleasure of combining stone, cloth, blood and grotesque cushions while giving the youngest and eldest Vampires distinct roles within the scene.
