South Woodford Library
February 2012·pp. 94–95
THE SHORT VERSION
Archie Black explains how a library hobby club grew from a small group of children and teenagers into regular gaming and painting sessions supported by shared supplies and a modest kitty. Becoming an independent stockist helped fund the activity, bring families into the library and provide the basics new hobbyists actually needed. His advice stresses listening to customers, stocking useful introductory materials and resisting the temptation to make the shelves merely reflect the organiser’s own taste.
