Monstrous Mounts

September 2011·p. 38

THE SHORT VERSION

A charging monstrous mount can knock down cavalry as well as infantry, removing both an enemy’s immediate fighting advantage and its horse. Spider Queen and Shelob combine comparable pounce bonuses with venom, while inexpensive Khandish chariots provide another way to counter riders. The Mûmak example recommends trampling vulnerable warriors beside Dáin instead of allowing his exceptional resilience to stop the entire charge.
