TACTICS·WHITE DWARF 381

Monstrous Heroes

September 2011·p. 36

THE SHORT VERSION

Monstrous heroes can operate independently but rapidly spend Might and Fate if unsupported, so Simon Grant recommends treating them as better-protected bulwarks where possible. Superior Fight values make opposing heroes and monsters attractive targets, and personal magic such as Transfix can improve the matchup. The Ringwraith example combines Compel, flight and a later Heroic Move to isolate a cavalry leader and then disrupt his followers.
