INTERVIEW·WHITE DWARF 380

Hall of Fame: Corpse Cart

August 2011·pp. 80–81

THE SHORT VERSION

Trish Carden selects the Corpse Cart for its unusually vivid horror: swollen wood, piled bodies and struggling Zombies suggest sound, smell and damp decay as well as a striking silhouette. Colin Grayson’s digital chassis and Brian Nelson’s traditionally sculpted figures required close collaboration to fit the tangled load together. Curved rib-like sides and a sagging coffin base help the vehicle feel burdened by its gruesome cargo.
