Black Dragon: Painting the Dreadlord and Throne
August 2011·pp. 86–88
THE SHORT VERSION
Chainmail armour and purple cloth establish the Dreadlord’s scheme, with Tallarn Flesh skin and a brown-gold foundation for ornate details. Black and flesh washes separate the surfaces before brighter silver, gold and skin highlights restore definition. The throne repeats the purple and gold colours, adding a brown seat and bone skull so that the rider’s fittings remain visually linked to the Dragon’s armour.
