Black Dragon: The Base and Final Details
August 2011·p. 89
THE SHORT VERSION
The scenic base uses a grey-and-earth foundation for rock and a brown foundation for the tree, followed by a shared dark wash. Drybrushed highlights separate their textures, and green then brown washes give the rocks weathering. Black-painted sand is brought up through Bubonic Brown and Bleached Bone before a Graveyard Earth rim and static grass complete the model; the painted rider and throne are then attached.
