Army Workshop: Orcs & Goblins

March 2011·pp. 98–103

THE SHORT VERSION

Duncan Rhodes and Nick Bayton build a primitive-themed force around Savage Orcs, Forest Goblins and an Arachnarok. Planning the whole army first avoids wasted components and fixes each model’s position, letting the painters concentrate their best highlights on visible front ranks. Foundation basecoats, washes and selective highlights provide a quick common method, while different skin tones, shared blue decoration and the giant spider’s glassy eyes create variety within the unified force.
