PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 371

Tattoos

November 2010·p. 91

THE SHORT VERSION

A prepared reference is first traced with dilute red paint so mistakes can be removed, then blocked in once the shape is settled. Reapplying the original flesh shadows and highlights with some red mixed in makes the tattoo sit within the skin rather than on top of it. Finished examples show how cult markings and personal patterns can distinguish Wyches, Reavers and Lelith.
