Mandrakes: Flesh, Runes and Hair

November 2010·p. 92

THE SHORT VERSION

Anja Wettergren paints the Mandrake as an inverse Eldar, contrasting blue-black skin and white hair with intensely bright green runes. The skin receives cool grey highlights while the runes move through green, yellow and white to imply supernatural light. Selective highlights on individual hair strands prevent the pale mass from becoming artificially uniform.
