Glowing Eyes

November 2010·p. 88

THE SHORT VERSION

Anja Wettergren builds green eye lenses toward a white focal highlight and applies increasingly pale, thinned versions of the same colours around the sockets. Keeping the eyes brighter than the surrounding reflection makes the source of the glow convincing. The concise sequence introduces the neon object-source-lighting effect used to contrast with the army’s dark armour.
