Painting the Horrors of Tzeentch
October 2010·p. 93
THE SHORT VERSION
Duncan Rhodes follows Chad Mierzwa’s pink-skin suggestion, spraying a flesh base and applying a red wash before rebuilding the raised areas with a flesh-and-red mixture. Bone increases the highlight while gold ornaments, purple tongue, pale claws, blue-shaded flame and yellow eyes establish contrasting details. The sequence makes the daemons distinctive while keeping them visually related to the army’s crimson armour.
