Controlling the Brood and Keeping Control

March 2010·pp. 58–59

THE SHORT VERSION

Synapse creatures must balance the area they cover against the danger of a single loss breaking the chain of control. Overlapping ranges, long broods and careful casualty removal preserve command, while fast or deep-striking leaders can repair gaps. Robin also plans for failure by distinguishing creatures that feed from those that lurk, using the latter for objectives rather than expecting uncontrolled assault organisms to remain in place.
