THE SHORT VERSION

Robin’s 2,000-point Cadian force divides into a large ordered firebase and a mobile objective-taking contingent in Chimeras and a Valkyrie. Ogryns, a Primaris Psyker, artillery and tanks provide different kinds of support, with Ratlings and a Sentinel acting independently. After learning the mission he plans to exploit second deployment, likely first turn and control of the final objective’s location to break through the Orks and seize their ground.

Mechanised Nostalgia

The new Venerable Dreadnought prompts Mark Latham to compare today’s versatile plastic armies with the snap-fit Marines and heavy metal models of his early collections. Interchangeable parts and abundant decoration now let almost every figure become individual, a change he also sees in Orks and the Empire. He ends by recalling his first Blood Angels army as the next month’s release promises another personal return to older hobby enthusiasms.
