Mechanised Nostalgia

The new Venerable Dreadnought prompts Mark Latham to compare today’s versatile plastic armies with the snap-fit Marines and heavy metal models of his early collections. Interchangeable parts and abundant decoration now let almost every figure become individual, a change he also sees in Orks and the Empire.
