Tyranid Digestion Pools

THE SHORT VERSION

Mark Jones transforms Moonscape craters into bubbling digestion pools using beads, cable and PVA thickened with talcum powder. The mixture blends the beads into the crater floor and receives a rough stippled texture before drying overnight. Grey crater edges, fleshy interior colours and a final Water Effects coat create the slimy organic appearance, but the guide names no specific paint colours for those descriptive tones.

Mechanised Nostalgia

The new Venerable Dreadnought prompts Mark Latham to compare today’s versatile plastic armies with the snap-fit Marines and heavy metal models of his early collections.
