PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 362

Minotaurs and Ogres

February 2010·p. 101

THE SHORT VERSION

The Minotaur receives a darker complexion than smaller Beastmen, with gradual flesh highlights and red-purple washes adding a raw, angry quality. A blue vein gives a small cool accent to the warm skin. The adjacent Ogre discussion explains the reverse problem: grey flesh needs coloured shading to avoid looking lifeless, and clothing choices should not exaggerate the contrast until the creature appears dead.
