Modelling Workshop: Despoiling the Empire
February 2010·pp. 94–97
THE SHORT VERSION
Chad Mierzwa represents a Beastmen attack through a village at successive stages of ruin instead of inventing an elaborate permanent Beastman settlement. Barricades and a fortified house lead towards damaged buildings, twisted woods and charred foundations. Exposed roofs and walls require convincing internal structure, and simple spare materials build much of the debris, giving the scenery its own narrative of attempted defence and destruction.
