Ask Eavy Metal
February 2010·pp. 79–85
THE SHORT VERSION
The expanded painting surgery uses readers’ questions to teach cloth, Chapter insignia, reflective surfaces, red armour, weathering, horns and sculpted banners. Different painters demonstrate both the underlying visual decisions and the named colour sequences, from alternating reflections on a crystal blade to warm–cool contrast in reds. The format develops practical worked examples instead of offering only short answers, with techniques intended to transfer to many other miniatures.
