THE SHORT VERSION

Keith builds the gold gradually, then uses different washes to distinguish mail from armour. Blond hair and a red cloak supply complementary focal areas. Blended highlights make the hero more refined than the batch-painted troops. The notes explain selected key surfaces rather than pretending to provide a complete recipe for every detail.
