Preparing Your Realm of Battle
November 2008·pp. 40–41
THE SHORT VERSION
A black undercoat is followed by the Scenery Pack’s brown foundation, with grey rocks and carefully layered bone giving the board detail before grass is added. Two shades of static grass are applied in overlapping sections of diluted PVA so the joins remain irregular. Excess flock is recovered and optional varnish secures the surface. Alternative finished environments demonstrate how colour changes the same sculpted landscape.
