THE SHORT VERSION

Mat identifies fighters with high Fight values, several attacks and strong wounding abilities as the army’s Brawlers. Good relies heavily on heroes for this work, from Aragorn and Gil-galad to the Elven twins and Treebeard. Their efficiency against ordinary troops or enemy leaders does not remove the risk of a poor combat roll. Supporting warriors and sensible target choices prevent a powerful hero from becoming trapped and overwhelmed by cheaper opponents.

The Black Gate Opens: Mordor Sourcebook
