THE SHORT VERSION

Gav Thorpe referees a three-thousand-point clash between Mat Ward’s Vampire Counts and Mark Latham’s Empire, giving each commander private objectives and a deployment map. Vlad’s crossing stalls against stubborn Flagellants while a scouting Vampire threatens the village behind the Imperial line. The Empire’s priests and ordinary soldiers weather the assault, but summoned Zombies and surviving Grave Guard secure enough objectives for a draw. The debrief shows how hidden information and a river crossing reshape familiar army choices.
