Toolbox: Purity Seal and Ardcoat
February 2008·p. 69
THE SHORT VERSION
The guide explains how varnish protects painted miniatures and how gloss and matt finishes can be combined. Short controlled spray passes, thorough shaking and clearing the nozzle support an even result, while testing an old model first catches storage or temperature problems. A gloss coat beneath the protective spray adds resilience to prized figures; selected glossy details can then be restored separately. The emphasis is on preserving the paintwork’s finish as well as preventing chips.
