Painting Masterclass: Shokk Attack Gun
February 2008·pp. 70–75
THE SHORT VERSION
Kirsten Williams separates the Mek, gun, ammunition feed and unfortunate Snotling before painting. Bright layered skin stands against dark Goff clothing, while four metallic treatments distinguish working steel, copper, bronze and polished details. Leather, cloth and wooden tools add further texture, and the final checks, stripes, screens and gem-like lenses make the elaborate weapon readable. The project combines patient display techniques with the characterful improvisation of Ork engineering.
