Painting Metal: Bronze, Copper and Steel
February 2008·p. 73
THE SHORT VERSION
The guide assigns distinct colours and ageing treatments to the Mek’s many metal parts. Bronze gains warm ink shading and small green verdigris patches, while dark copper retains a subdued base beneath limited highlights. Brown, black and green washes tarnish the steel, contrasting with brighter layered silver on selected mechanisms. The variations make the dense assembly feel built from different pieces rather than one uniformly metallic object.
