TACTICS·WHITE DWARF 337

Meteor of Destruction

January 2008·p. 87

THE SHORT VERSION

A powerful rider and monster can break ordinary troops, but a frontal attack still has to overcome ranks, banners and superior numbers. Flank or rear attacks reduce that burden when the creature has sufficient Unit Strength, making manoeuvre as important as its attack profile. Example lords show different ways to concentrate damage, while the text advises conservative expectations and supporting charges rather than trusting a costly model to roll perfectly.
