Weathering the Baneblade
December 2007·pp. 82–83
THE SHORT VERSION
Small irregular grey chips represent damaged primer, with metallic marks reserved for exposed extremities where wear reaches the bare surface. Thin dusty drybrushing accumulates towards the lower hull, and black residue darkens the exhausts and muzzle. Mark recommends reference photographs and restraint, because excessive dirt is hard to undo. Glossy preparation beneath transfers and a matt finish afterwards integrate the markings with the carefully worn camouflage.
