The Blood Angels: The Flaw, Black Rage and Red Thirst
June 2007·pp. 68–70
THE SHORT VERSION
Sanguinius’s death leaves a psychic inheritance that can overwhelm his descendants with memories of the Primarch’s final battle. The account distinguishes this Black Rage from the blood craving of the Red Thirst, and explains the Sanguinary Priests’ role in preserving the blood used to create new Marines. Their long lives and pursuit of perfection make the Blood Angels accomplished artists and warriors, even as awareness of their curse darkens that idealism.
