Painting Elves

December 2006·p. 100

THE SHORT VERSION

Rik Turner’s Elven army uses blue robes and pale grey sashes beneath bright gold armour, with dark green and blue inks separating the metallic finishes. A compact recipe chart records the cloth, armour, weapons and neutral bases for repetition across the force. Painting warriors in groups of twelve makes both the collection’s visual organisation and later army selections easier to manage.
