Painting Easterlings
December 2006·p. 99
THE SHORT VERSION
Chris Peach replaces the familiar red-and-gold Easterling appearance with black robes, vivid orange cloth and brass armour to suggest a sinister, wealthy force from Tset-Hedren. The accompanying recipes separate robes, scarves, armour, weapons and bases, using dark ink shading to retain definition around the metallic details. The colours unify Easterling infantry and cavalry while making the collection distinct from its film inspiration.
