INTERVIEW·WHITE DWARF 324

Golden Demon: Natalya Melnik

December 2006·p. 78

THE SHORT VERSION

Natalya Melnik explains her Chicago-winning Fellowship as an attempt to reproduce the film characters with natural colours, realistic expressions and finely painted clothing. Embroidery on Boromir and Gimli demonstrates the controlled detail for which she is known. Rather than cite a special shortcut, she attributes the result to a fine brush and confident painting, with affection for the whole Fellowship shaping the project.
