Golden Demon: What Does It Take to Win?
December 2006·pp. 72–73
THE SHORT VERSION
Alan Merrett explains Golden Demon as a way to reward painters, inspire other hobbyists and push Games Workshop’s own standards. Judging begins with painting, but uneven conversions or unfinished details can weaken an otherwise strong entry. He distinguishes imaginative interpretations of established settings from unrelated references or speculative cultures, and describes Youngbloods and the Open competition as complementary places for other kinds of participation.
