Bash-up in the Southlands
October 2006·pp. 30–45
THE SHORT VERSION
Mark Latham’s greenskins and Andy Hoare’s Lizardmen fight a 4,000-point battle over desecrated shrines on the Plain of Tuskers. Skink poison and early animosity initially stall the Orcs, but their infantry reaches combat and a Wyvern-riding Warboss exploits the dense concentration of enemy characters with Shaga’s Screamin’ Sword. A mistimed supporting swarm and the order of late combats help the Big ’Uns break through the Lizardman centre. Mark takes a solid victory, while both players and referee Adam Troke assess the power of ordinary troops, challenges and combined assaults.
