Painting Workshop: Da Greenskins
October 2006·pp. 94–96
THE SHORT VERSION
Four approaches offer different balances of speed and finish for green skin, from neat flat colour to drybrushed highlights, ink shading and Anja Wettergren’s more carefully layered method. The guide adapts the result to the model: Black Orcs remain darker, while Goblins and Gretchin can take paler highlights. Teeth, horns, warpaint and simple triangular dags give the painter further ways to distinguish units without losing the green skin that visually unifies the army.
