T’au, Sa’cea, Vior’la and D’yanoi contingents show how Vespid chitin and Tau-issued equipment can vary independently. The T’au example recalls a strain associated with Puretide, while the urban Sa’cea group is linked to a settlement near Medusa V. Vior’la demonstrates a different native coloration, and the D’yanoi unit may be serving away from its home sept. Pete Jarman returns to his favourite metal Guard regiment with a four-hundred-point scouting force. A basic infantry platoon supplies numbers, Veterans add dependable shooting, Rough Riders provide a carefully timed assault and a Sentinel addresses armoured transports. His restrained desert palette makes the models a coherent group. Future expansion would bring mechanised troops and converted Ogryns rather than simply applying every available doctrine to the small patrol.

Matthew Toone’s historically inspired Tallarns use dark skin, thin bases and distinctive officers’ turbans to give an old collection a new finish. Rhys Knight’s mounted troops draw on his affection for neglected units and the imagery of The Mummy. The White Dwarf team adds ice-world, forest, red-desert and ash-waste examples, showing that the same uniform need not belong only on sand. The gallery names themes and contributors without offering additional paint recipes.
