THE SHORT VERSION

Ogre tribes capture the remaining Giants of the Mountains of Mourn as trophies and living weapons. Chains, collars and heavy burdens display their broken status, and the kit’s millstone makes that relationship immediately visible. Their lost resolve distinguishes them from free Giants even as their shackles become weapons. Crogg the Blind supplies a short example of a captive whose apparent helplessness may conceal a coming revenge.

Attack of the Giants

The Fall of the Sky-titans

The ancestors of Giants once inhabited cloud-wrapped mountain castles, largely removed from smaller civilizations below. The arrival of Ogres after the catastrophe of the Great Maw overwhelms their isolated realm. Survivors disperse into small groups and decline in both numbers and intellect. This history turns the familiar drunken monster into the remnant of a destroyed civilization rather than an inexplicable oversized human.
