THE SHORT VERSION

Paying a wandering Giant with food and beer can make it a defender instead of a menace. Mercenary Giants tend to be relatively resourceful and accumulate equipment from many employers, while some communities keep them as mascots. The account includes Albion’s population and Middenheim’s unfortunate Thunderball, whose mutation turns a useful helper into a threat. Their employment is framed as a practical response to a hungry neighbour of enormous size.
