Legions of Middle-earth: Gondor and Mordor

April 2006·pp. 82–85

THE SHORT VERSION

Four illustrated forces show how a coherent setting can produce different armies from familiar Gondor and Mordor models. A Minas Tirith garrison relies on armoured infantry and Boromir, while Ithilien combines Rangers with a timed cavalry strike. Morgul Vale uses Orc numbers around powerful Trolls, and the Black Gate adds elite allies and magical support. Each page explains an important leader’s role rather than treating the force as merely a points total.
