MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 316

Iron Ring and Tooth Piercings

April 2006·p. 87

THE SHORT VERSION

A small putty lump is shaped into a ring using a blunted stick, then refined with its flattened end. Once the ring sets, a fresh bead of Green Stuff creates the stretched skin beneath it. Sharpened plastic rod provides a tooth-shaped alternative, blended on both sides to appear embedded. The sequence separates hard jewellery from soft flesh so that the detail conveys both weight and attachment.
