RULES·WHITE DWARF 316

Fighting in Deserts

April 2006·pp. 70–71

THE SHORT VERSION

A desert terrain generator supplies recognizable landforms alongside environmental hazards. Sangars, wadis, scrub and oases offer different movement or cover effects, while heat haze and sandstorms reduce effectiveness and can change during the game. Sun Worms make nearby movement dangerous and Sand Worm attacks threaten unsuspecting models. The rules turn apparently empty ground into a varied battlefield while allowing players to agree their own terrain arrangement.
