Painting Eorl the Young and Rohan Bases
April 2006·p. 78
THE SHORT VERSION
Pete Foley uses Eorl’s earlier, more prosperous setting to justify a brighter appearance than the later Rohan heroes. The white cloak rises from Fortress Grey through numerous thin white mixtures, preserving an even finish on small cloth surfaces. The base follows Brown Ink with brown and grey drybrushing, a pale final pass and patches of vegetation. Matching armour and barding makes horse and rider read as one royal figure.
